This article is a review of the Tusk Megabite Radial Tire!
As a proud owner of a UTV or side-by-side, I know the importance of having a tire that can handle any adventure thrown it’s way. From off-roading excursions to hunting trips, fishing expeditions, and even just weekend family rides, my UTV has been my trusty steed. But after years of relying on Maxxis Bighorn Tires, I was ready for a change.
Enter the Tusk Megabite Tire, a tire so badass it should come with its own warning label. Designed specifically as a dedicated mud tire, it boasts deep lugs and an aggressive tread pattern that’ll make you feel like you’re conquering Mount Everest in a UTV. I decided to give them a try, and let me tell you; the results were nothing short of spectacular.
So if you want to elevate your off-roading game and leave your friends in the mud, grab a set of Tusk Megabite Radial Tires. In this Tusk Megabite review I will share my experience and hopefully will help you out.

To say I was excited to try out a new set of tires on my CAN-AM Defender would be an understatement.
When I heard that I would be trying out a new set of tires on my trusty CAN-AM Defender, I couldn’t contain my excitement.
Over the past few years, I’ve been through more sets of tires than a kid goes through candy on Halloween. I’ve searched high and low for the perfect set of All-Terrain Tires that can handle any and all conditions. I’ve tried everything from Maxxis Bighorns, which were decent in most situations except for the mud, to the OEM tires on our Honda Pioneer, which were about as reliable as a paper umbrella in a hurricane.
If you plan on driving in conditions that are prone to punctures, you’re better off with a set of tires that can take a beating. Just look at the picture below of the huge hole we got in our OEM UTV tires on the Honda Pioneer – they were no match for the rough terrain we were driving on.
Aftermarket UTV tires are usually better than the OEM
While they are great in most conditions, they lack any real mud traction. So with the release of Tusk’s 8-ply radial Megabite UTV tire, I was anxious to see how it would hold up during mud season. Mine personal and the meta data of the Tusk Megabite Tires Review is mostly positive, but be free to check them out.

Tusk Megabite Tires Test Review:
Megabite is a Mud First but works great as an ALL Terrain tire as well
The Megabite is an all-new 8-ply rated radial tire designed as a dedicated mud tire, with deep lugs and an aggressive tread pattern to provide excellent traction in the muddiest conditions. The Megabite has a true multi-purpose tread design that allows you to use it on dirt or gravel roads, but there’s no doubt that it was built for mud.
As a dedicated mud tire, it features a deep aggressive tread pattern that digs down and throws mud like crazy. The Tusk Megabite Radial is made for heavy terrain use, and the tread pattern is designed to dig down into the terrain and release that sticky muck.
Best Mud and All-Terrain UTV Tire for the Money?
Are you tired of looking for the perfect mud and all-terrain UTV tire that won’t break the bank? Look no further, my friend! Tusk made the Megabite as the answer to your prayers. This tire is a jack-of-all-trades, with good traction on pavement, sand, and mud. It’s also a whiz in whoops – you’ll feel like you’re on a magic carpet ride!
But wait, there’s more! The Megabite also has amazing traction in the snow, thanks to its wide lug design. You’ll never have a problem getting this tire to move forward in any condition unless you’re trying to drive on a lake of Jell-O.
But don’t think that the Megabite’s off-road capabilities mean it’s weak on the pavement. You’ll notice a good grip on the pavement even when accelerating from a stop or braking hard for an emergency stop at high speeds (up to 85mph). The brakes will never feel like they’re going to lock up, even when you’re making sharp turns at high speeds – this gives you confidence when driving on roads less traveled by large vehicles like cars or trucks – roads where you might find yourself in an emergency situation without warning.
The only time you’ll find yourself wishing for more rubber between your wheels and the road surface is while driving off-road over uneven terrain (such as sand), but that’s understandable. These tires were designed specifically for use on asphalt highways where stability is key. But let’s be real, who wants to stay on the highway when there’s an off-road adventure waiting for you? So, grab a set of Tusk Megabytes, and let’s hit the trails!

Tusk Megabites handle the Rough and Bumps
Their 8-ply radial construction helped them ride smoothly over rough terrain and even through sand whoops. They also seemed to have a great bite off-road as well as on pavement.
Tusk Megabite Tires are Solid Tires!
Overall, I was very impressed with how well the Tusk Megabites performed as both an off-road and everyday tire. They are excellent mud tires for UTVs and provide great traction in both muddy and dry conditions. The 8-ply radial construction helped them ride smoothly over rough terrain and even through sand whoops. In addition to being an excellent mud tire, they rode extremely well on the pavement while providing a quiet ride at highway speeds.
In short, the Tusk Megabite Radial Tires are a solid choice for those who want a tire that can easily handle mud, sand, and even pavement. We put 30x10R14 Tusk Megabite Tires on our CAN-AM Defender Max Limited, and let me tell you; it’s like we upgraded from a bicycle to a Ferrari. Smooth ride, great traction, and a quiet ride at highway speeds – what more could you ask for?”
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a tire that can handle the mud, sand, and even the snow, look no further than the Tusk Megabite radial tires. They’ve quickly become my go-to tire for all my off-roading adventures, whether I’m tackling the toughest sand whoops or navigating through a snowy landscape. Trust me, these tires are a real game-changer and will have you singing their praises, even if you can’t carry a tune. So don’t be a square; give them a try, and they will earn a permanent spot on your CAN-AM Defender and Honda Pioneer just like they did on mine.
